My life

I sit back and look at my life

And how I've been there and I've done that so many times before

The Lord's never let me down

And I know that He won't start now

Some way, somehow He turned my life around

I remember a time in my life

That I didn't want to do nothing right

It was my way or the highway

I was all about the games that people play

Couldn't have told me nothing

Felt that I had it going on

And through it all I did not see that the enemy was steering me wrong

I was caught up in my pride and I didn't want to ask for help no way

Didn't want nobody to know that I was living my life so badly

I was still caught up in shame and yet my Savior came

And today I'm so happy to tell you that Jesus is His name

I sit back and look at my life

And how I've been there and I've done that so many times before

The Lord's never let me down

And I know that He won't start now

My life, I thought it meant just that, my life

I didn't want anybody to tell me not to do the things I wanted to

I felt that it was my life and I could do anything I wanted to

My Lord gave me freedom of choice and He allowed me to choose

Had no idea that this act of love would be what I would abuse

And I know that I let Him down but through my life He stayed around

Being the sinner that I was He should've just thrown me away

Instead He cleaned me up so I could worship everyday

I sit back and look at my life

And how I've been there and I've done that so many times before

The Lord's never let me down

And I know that He won't start now

Some way, somehow He turned my life around

My life was for you to see that God will set you free

I was lost and the world had me

Had me glorifying self and I couldn't see

That hell was my destiny if I didn't accept what Jesus gave to me

And I never knew the cost of seeing my sins on His back

But I know that no one else could've done that

No matter where you at in your life right now

Turn it on over to God He'll work it out right now

Give it all to Him like you gave the world

His mercy's for every man, woman, boy and girl

Don't worry that your life ain't been right

Cause the only way to get right is through Christ
