I flipped many a dime
I sutured myself blind
To the odds, to the streaks
My head is spinning
A lion sprang from who knows where
Now its claws are shining, bare
I have thrown into the well a rusty token
Now its crimson waters run through drains everywhere
Dying blue, green, red,
The sulky mansions When the pastels
Froze they made up the sullen coast
And the shoreline it withdrew in anger
Now I'm here all alone
Though you live up the road
My playground, it's crumbled into powder
It's the thinnest sand you can find on my land And the
Shoreline, it's flooding in,
In anger And whether it's tails or heads
I think I'll go ahead
And slide down the silvery blue
And then in painful strides
With the stream I'll collide
And reverse the tide and conquer
Now the air has died down
And the waters have drowned
And I'm here on my blond colony
I summon and expel
I rule out and unveil
My plans to reap and steer unduly
But soon my echo drowns
Into muffled rebounds
I stomped in only to limp away
So very lame I strive
To make up for last pride
But the shoreline it's roaring with laughter
