I used to read my bible Everyday and every night Go to church on sunday morning And all day and want to say Used to talk to you every night On my knees as I pray Telling you what was on my mind And I knew that you were there Then I strayed away on my own But I soon realised That I was all alone So Lord please Take me back To the place Where I first found your grace And restore me To the way it used to be And I will never No never leave you again Coz in you I have a friend Who is always by my side I thought I had it under control All the plans that I had made I worked hard day and night Trying to bring it all to be I spent a whole lot of time Time meant for you and me Felt myself slipping away Slipping away from you oh I thought I wanted to be on ma own But why am I feeling so all alone Oh Lord please Take me back To the place Where I first found your grace And restore me To the way it used be And I'll never No never no never leave you again Cuz in you I have a friend u-u-u Who is always by my side And Lord I need to hear from you Lord, I want to come back to you And Lord, I need to be with you I'll give up everything I have in this world Make it like it was Take me back to you Lord And I will never I'll never leave you again Cuz in you I know I have a friend Who is always by my side U-u-u-u yeah
