OVERVIEW

LYRICS

Lyrics

[Verse 1]

Now what we gonna do tonight? Oh

We should go to a funktion

Ooh, oh yeah, yeah

Mm, ooh, you know I love it, yeah

[Verse 2]

Come on and let me get through

I need to put in on you

You got me hooked up, baby

You know it's breakin' my mind

I want your body all the time

Delicious, she drives me crazy

Mm, the perfume that you wear

Seems to hang in the air

It's boogalicious

And while that DJ's bustin' grooves

I've been makin' all the moves to taste your kisses

You know, honey

[Verse 3]

We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

Yeah, party people, get down

We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

Come on, like that

We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

[Verse 4]

You know we're going to a party

It don't take much to start me

I'm a f-f-freakin' (Yeah, get down)

Some people get their kicks

When their shirts begin to stick

In a s-s-s-sweatdown (I got to get down)

[Verse 5]

Why don't you come on with me, lady?

I don't want to hear your maybes

I wanna get sexual

Girl, you got the body of a goddess

And I want you at your hottest

Ooh, you wanna be my queen? Let's hit the scene

[Verse 6]

Come on to the funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

Man

We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

Now come on and drop it for me, like this

[Verse 7]

We're gonna paint the town red

And then I'm takin' you to bed

To spend the nighttime

And now that rhythm is complete

You got the world at your feet

You're outta sight, honey, come on

You don't have to be suggestive

I just want to get connected

At the party, party

Why don't you groove down with me?

And join my funky family

Ooh, you know

[Verse 8]

We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

Ooh, we're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

I'm going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

[Verse 9]

Now put your zoot suit on

Because we've got to move along

And we're gonna go dancing

These are disco nights

And the moon is right for romancing

[Verse 10]

Y-y-y-y-you know you're gonna dig it

But you just can't help to swing it

To the music

Now all the girls grab a guy

And the guys grab a thigh, so we can lose it

[Verse 11]

Ooh, what we doing? We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

And get down to the funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

I'll meet you at the funky junction, come on, yeah, yeah, yeah

We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

Now let me hear my man drop it, ah, this time, ah just

[Verse 12]

Now bring it on back, come on, just woo

[Verse 13]

Now we're going to a funktion

Yep, yep, yep, yep

Y-y-y-y-you know you wanna dig it

And you just can't help to swing it at the funktion

Come on

You know you wanna dig it

And you just can't help to swing it at the funktion

F-f-funktion, f-f-funktion

You know you wanna dig it

But you just can't help to swing it at the funktion

You know you wanna dig it

And you just can't help to swing it at the, at the funktion

[Verse 14]

We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

Man, I love to funktion

Oh, funktion, yeah, yeah, yeah

Now let hear that drum one more time, just

[Verse 15]

Now party people come on back, do that, just, woo

Funktion

We, we're going to a, we're going to a

We're going to a funktion, yeah, yeah

Oh now, alright

I see, yeah, yeah

You know, ooh, yeah

You know it's alright

I'm going to that funktion, do

[Verse 16]

And I'm gonna get down

And I'm gonna sweat down

Do it to the music

We're going to a funktion, it's gonna last all night

It's gonna be alright

Won't you get down with me, sexy lady?

Yeah, yeah, yeah
