Lyrics

Louisa came for her interview,
Her skirt split open for all to see!
She grabbed her coat and tied it fast,
A awkward moment she hoped would pass.
The male boss walked over with a friendly wave,
She gathered her skirt with one hand., the other brave.
But the female boss saw something new
A fighter who never gave up the queue.
The job was set at fifteen hundred strong,
But what she'd face would prove her wrong.
Will was the son, paralyzed from the spine,
And when they met, he crossed the line.
"Your dress broke, huh? What a show!"
He mocked and laughed, but she'd nowhere to go.
Her father lost his job, mom's home all day,
Her sister's tuition was the price to pay.
She cheered herself up, took a deep breath,
Approached Will again, walked right in step.
"Let's take a walk outside," she gently said,
But Will just rolled his eyes and shook his head.
But Louisa stayed true, she wouldn't retreat,
Dressed in colors bright, dancing down the street.
Vibrant dresses, patterns bold and wild,
Until Will couldn't ignore that style.
She showed him who she really was,
Not tiptoeing around like just because.
While others whispered soft and treaded light,
She treated Will just right—normal, polite.
Gradually Will started to accept,
This clumsy girl who wouldn't be checked.
Then came the day his world fell apart,
His girl left him for his best friend's heart.
He snapped, he screamed, threw photos to the ground,
A broken frame scattered all around.
Louisa snuck in quiet as a mouse,
And taped the pieces back together's house.
But Will caught her and lashed out with fury,
"What did you do? This isn't your story!"
Louisa stood her ground, eyes locked with his,
And said what she felt, she couldn't miss
"Because I care for you, I do, it's true,
I love spending time, it's always been you.
But I need this job, I'm barely surviving,
Every dollar counts, I'm barely arriving."
That day Will finally saw her struggle through,
The weight she carried, the trials she knew.
His attitude shifted like day into night,
He invited her out for movies that night.
He agreed to walk outside, feel the sun,
And under her suggestion, his beard was gone.
Louisa felt joy, thought things were looking up,
But little did she know there was more to sup.
She overheard a fight behind closed doors,
Will's parents arguing, their voices roars.
A secret Will kept locked away so deep,
A truth that would shake what she thought was hers to keep...
"Because I care for you, I do, it's true,
I love spending time, it's always been you.
But I need this job, I'm barely surviving,
Every dollar counts, I'm barely arriving."
