The sun is setting,

stars have burned from the sky.

A voice whispers out to me: There is no reprieve.

I replay that night, damned within my own mind.

Reach for the sky as I ask why we are born into this life

of pain and loss, inflicted on us by a god that nailed his only son to a fucking cross.
