Lyrics

You've never seen me in this mess
Well let me tell you 'bout my past
I've been dogging worse bullets, since I'm a 11 year old wreck
If you knew my story, bet
That you would know that I've been demonised
Traumatised by drinks and drugs
Betchu didn't notice but this blessing is a glory
I've been alone and overdosing
I've been suicidal, talking about women, money, atheistic coping
But in a night that I died I have died to myself
And a man on a cross took me out of this hell
But how many words you start repeating have a really honest meaning
When your actions just show off in ways of fallen human beings
When you still live in the sin, but think awareness is enough
Well saying sorry doesn't mean a thing when you go out and keep em up
What is worse than STD, it is: Ego & Pride
When you catch some fancy trophies and your career won't suffice
When your age makes you important
But there's something you still hide
It is the empty void your filling and with all but Jesus Christ
So it took some months of prayer and a word that never ends
From your father in heaven, he just wants you to repent
All the empty prayers lost, cause they were never for my health
Only for money, girls and jobs everything that made me dead
And you start looking around, what was all that fighting for?
3K in debt, a moldy flat, a wish for peace down at my core
A broken car after a crash and a degree that means no more
Than I have wasted my new life, with empty things and I'm still torn
Have you tried to sit in silence, when your money built a cage?
Or the women never loved you, so to use them is okay?
When you take 4 months in seeing Jesus rising from the grave
But every nail and every hammer was each choice you made today
When you really deeply know about the damage you have made
Even breaking your God's heart, have you felt that any way?
Do you know what that means when you carry on not changing?
Saved by faith and faith alone, but how much do you believe it?
Yeah switch up, I just came from usual meeting
Meaning all honest to God, what else can I be really dreaming?
In a tent, well 4, and the only unbelieving
Thing I have is going to sleep being sober in this season
Having faith I am loved, I could never pay it back
But have friends feeling lost wanting talks cause they need help
With our faith, with their purpose
With their darkness, fear and shame
But if it wouldn't be for Jesus, I'd be dead since 5 years straight
So ask yourself, when it's gone
Your home, your car, your man or wife -
Who would you be, if there's no answer
Have you might always lived passed life?
If it all be stripped away, would you manage without lies?
Would you hide from your Creator or be known by Jesus Christ?
Would you really feel like nothing? I mean - nothing at all?
When painful internal screaming longs for something at it's core?
When there's nothing left but demons, but you still feel in a war?
That's your deepest true identity that's longing for its home
So listen closely, this is out of humbled real experience
When you feel like all is lost, you're just another human being
And how do you expect to be a sheep that's lost and found
And not accept, the cliff side edge you've been walking on around?
Yeah we mess up, but not enough, for this one God and his own blood
That he has shed for you eternally
It has been already done, you're holding on
So why you still fighting or tryna carry it?
Just take his hand, it is stretched out
All that it weighs, he put an end to it
Better make sure you found your home
And made your choice, before the end of it
