I often question the method that God uses to get across all his messages

Feel it's always embedded inside of ironic lessons

Situations I'm placed in start to upset me

But then I thought it all makes sense

Think for a second

The only way you know you got the right answer is if you going through some testing

I had to suffer losses to see the places I'm blessed in

It took me years of things not going my way to finally lead me the right direction

I had to lose that one job where racist women were heckling

And dragging my name in articles thinking it would affect me

Just to see that God had my finances protected

Made the most money I ever made that year

And that's light

I'm not even flexing

See em out in public and they the ones looking desperate

No way I could've gained this wisdom without rejection

I got a couple more questions

When they break me down

And I'm feeling weak

Would you give me strength?

When my thoughts won't rest

And I don't understand

Would you show me peace

When I fall again

And I run and hide

Are you forgiving me

When I lose my way

And my light is dim

Would you ever leave

If I don't side with the culture would they accept me?

If I be vulnerable with em

Would people get me?

Despite my effort avoiding all conflict

All the borderline nonsense on the net

How would it affect me?

If I'm on path to destruction

Would they correct me?

Or hold their peace long as they benefit off of it?

Even if it set my path to straight to a coffin

They be draining me often

Is the work that we doing considered timeless?

Will it serve many generations behind us?

Is the fruit that it bears potent enough to withstand all of upcoming eras that try to blind us?

Has it occurred to you?

Chasing after the next biggest spark

Tryna ignite themselves

Only for God to propel me past the spots once held
