The waters rose and dragged me into brine

Every wave, crashing like desert thunder

Held under, what seemed miles at the time

The North Winds, blowing angry in all directions

Not a sign of earth to clutch tight

Weighed down, by the burden of immortal garments

I let go, and tossed my clothes out of sight

Then came a bird, that rose beyond the waves above me

I reached out, and touched her wing like a veil

A golden light, surrounded me at every corner

My body rose and caught the wind like a sail

In the distance, tattered shoreline soon approaches And now the waves throw me closer to the shore

Tossed to land, like a newborn on a gilded blanket

Not a single memory, of who I was before

But I remember, her long white hair

How the living among her all danced in the air

I became free, alone in her stare

Walk the earth, now searching for the bird that saved me

And took pity, on a lost soul out at sea

With smoke and fire, offerings and incantations High and low, I searched anywhere she might be

One more glimpse, of the winged light that held forever

In her palm, while carrying me to land

I'd give all the world's gold and silver

To feel at ease again in her hand
