God is just a bright child

An intelligent and curious toddler

Pushing a little toy car

They nudge it left and inch it right

They want what’s good, they want what’s right

But ultimately, after all

They’re aiming for a centre line

Where peaceful things take space and time

And in their playful, joyful mood

They swerve off course and sometimes crash

But one thing always stays the same:

A tender, soft attentive game

Because god is just a gentle child

Sprung from dirt with all of life

I prefer gods early works

I love them all, they’re just the same

But Gods had help along the way

From you and me and we and they

We’re everybody’s only child

We’re all from shattered, broken isles

Uncertainty joins us together

I’m certain of if I know I am

And every time we step apart

Let’s just forget and remember again

Uncertainty has led us here: with big white houses and big black doors

They have risen. They will fall.

Dinosaurs loved dinosaurs

The most loving thing one can do is find the courage to look, eyes wide, at their own soul

Then the most loving thing one can do is be receptive, tenderly, to all its imperfections

Uncertainty joins us

If we can sit with queasiness, watch the flares and let the flames burn out

Then we will finally be sitting together

With enough openness

Enough humbleness

Enough curiosity

To Show The Devil Compassion

For even love is selfish

The more we give the better we feel

Uncertainty joins us

The more we can sit with our incessant questions and say: I don’t know

The more we can be sitting together

And at the very least

Not going backward
