But I was obsessed and still am obsessed with them

I do believe it was because I was born in

Kaiserslautern Germany

And was on a plane three weeks after I was born

Back to the states, because of you being in the Army

And I think that’s where my love of aviation and airplanes started

But of course, with the song born to fly, it was like

This is literal, I was born to fly

But also, I was thinking about the metaphor of like

Anyone who has a dream or something they’re trying to pursue

Like if you believe you were born to do it, like you can fly, right

Like, pops what do you think about when hear that

When you hear that phrase born to fly

Roy II: Well, what’s coming to my mind is

Like seeing a plane in the air

And that triggers something in you

That makes you happy

Because you are asking yourself

How does that plane fly, as a young child

How is it suspended in air but it’s moving

Roy III: And I think that kind of relates to

Pursuing of dreams of like, Oh, like

How do you get to this goal

How do you reach this

Holababy what about you

Like when you hear the phrase born to fly

What does that make you think of

Holababy: Well, you can think the way you want to think

Do what you want to do, with respect to other people

In Life, Spread your winds, Do your thing

Don’t waste time, be in the present

And don’t sweat the small things

Roy III: Ok Abuelo, what about you

Ruben: You know the first thing that rushes over me

In my perspective

Born to fly means that I have freedom

Freedom of choice, expression

I feel, if I can get that perspective in flight

Unobstructed views, Unlimited potential

It gives me that joy

Born to fly is exceptional

It is something that we can strive for

And once we do have some success in life

We are flying

When I think about born to fly and you

I think about the time after you had sung at church

And I can just remember how

The whole congregation was just so moved

You’re going to make a big impact

That you are going to use
