Lyrics

Slowly and gently arrive in your body
You can either stand, sit, or lie down
Feel and relax deeply into your body
For this journey together you don't need the thinking process
Whether you're standing, sitting, or lying down
Let yourself become more comfortable with the posture
If you're standing maybe your shoulders relax
If you're sitting maybe your hips widen and your belly softens
If you're lying down maybe all the places your body
Is touching the ground becomes heavy and connected
Bring your awareness gently to the crown of your head
Feel your awareness almost as if it's
Somewhere between smoke and water
As light and as easy moving as smoke
As heavy and as connective as water
Rest your attention on the top of your head
Let that attention widen and spread
Out as you feel the top of your skull
Your skull, your hair, the roots of your hairs inside your skull
Feel your forehead
Feel your brain
Both sides of your brain
Allow that entire large infrastructure of your brain to relax
The same way you can relax a muscle, relax your brain
Feel your right eyebrow
Your right eyelid
Your right eye
Inside your eye socket
Relax the right eye
Almost as if you could liquefy the entire structure of
Your right eye and let it dissolve back into your skull
Feel your right cheekbone
Right ear
Inside your right ear
All the way down into your eardrum
Relax that right eardrum
Feel your left eyebrow
Left eyelid
Your left eye
Relax and dissolve that left eye back into its eye socket
All tension liquefied and dissolved
Feel your left cheekbone
Your left ear
Inside your left ear
Feel the left eardrum
Relax your left eardrum
Feel your right ear and your left ear
And notice how the sound appears out of an emptiness
Listen from emptiness to emptiness You are here
Feel the rim of your nose
Your right nostril
Your left nostril
The touch of air moving in and out through your nostrils
Feel your upper lip
Your lower lip
Feel your teeth
Feel your gum
Feel your tongue
Relax the tongue deep into its root
Feel the roof of your mouth
Feel the floor of your mouth
Feel your jaw
Unhinge your jaw
Relax deep inside both sides of your jaw
And let the tip of your chin become heavy
All the skin in the front of your face becomes soft
Feel the back of your neck
Feel the front of your throat
Feel the cervical spine inside your neck
Feel your vocal cords
Feel the entire infrastructure of your throat and neck
The cervical spine
The skull, the head
The front of your face and the back of your head
Let all that become full and spacious
Relaxed, open and loose
The whole top area of your body opening up
Feel your right collarbone
Your right shoulder
Feel the right deltoid muscle
The right tricep and right bicep
Feel your right elbow
Inside your right elbow
Feel the right lower arm
Your right wrist
The right palm of your hand
Your right thumb
Right index finger
Right middle finger
Right ring finger
And the right pinky
Feel the top of your hand
All five fingers and the palm of your hand on the right side
Feel the whole right hand as one radiant field of sensation
Feel the left collarbone
The left shoulder
The left deltoid
The left tricep and the left bicep
Feel inside the left elbow
Feel the left lower arm
Feel your left wrist
The left palm of your hand
The left thumb
Left index finger
Left middle finger
Left ring finger
And the left pinky finger
Feel the top of the left hand
The palm of the left hand
All the five fingers on your left hand
The entire left hand as one radiant field of sensation
Bring your awareness to your sternum
The center of your chest
Feel the right side of your chest
Feel the left side of your chest
Feel the right shoulder blade
Feel the left Feel your ribcage, front and back
Feel inside your chest, your heart
Feel your lungs
Feel them breathing
Feel your heart beating
Feel your lungs beating

Feel inside your abdominal cavity
Feel the two kidneys in the back body
Feel your stomach
Feel all the way down into your pelvic floor
Feel your lumbar spine
Feel your sacrum and your coccyx
Feel the entire torso as one awake and lucid field of awareness
Feel your right hip flexor

Feel the right leg, the right quadricep and right hamstring
Feel the right knee and right kneecap
Feel the right shin and calf

Feel your torso front and back
Your throat, neck, back of your head
Forehead, face and skull, brain
Spinal cord
Center of the body
Feel the whole body front and back as one unified field Breathing
We'll do ten rounds of an eight count inhale and eight count exhale
Steady, slow, continuous inhales and exhales
To prepare, take a nice deep breath in
And an audible exhale
Let's begin
Inhale
Exhale
I'll keep counting for you, just keep breathing
Inhale
Exhale
Inhale
Exhale
Inhale
Exhale
Inhale
Exhale
Inhale
Exhale
Inhale
Exhale
Last round
Inhale
And exhale
Completely relax from manipulating the breath
Feel that there's an outer breath that happens
Through the lungs and the movement of the diaphragm
Feel that there's a subtle breath within that breath
That follows and directs the movement of the breath internally
Like the movement of the wings of a butterfly
Resting in the sun and just opening its wings
This inner breath is a pulsation within the breath
Feel into that deeper kind of breathing within the breath
Emotions
Opposites of emotions
Feel within your nervous system
Within your mind
That subtle layer
That subtle layer where experience
Reflects itself through the emotional body
We're looking at two pairs of emotions
The first one is comparison
Resentment
Jealousy
Envy
Comparison
Feel into the part of your psyche that compares
Relax Don't give this emotion attributes like good or bad
Just allow it to be there
Comparison, envy, jealousy, resentment
Feel it, sense into it
The opposite of comparison is joy, happiness
Contentment, gratitude, tranquility
Life is good
Feel within yourself these qualities
Joy, happiness, gratitude, tranquility
Life is good
Notice how they both belong to each other
Envy and comparison, joy and gratitude
Feel how they are equally present within you
One liked and one disliked
Notice when you feel one or the other or both at the same time
How they complement each other
Feel them equally within you
Relax into both
Allow them both to be there
The same way night and day belong together
Relax your psyche so that they are both equal to each other
Feel their emotional quality within you
And let those two go
Comparison and happiness
Let them dissolve
Let them disappear
Creations of the mind
Given permission to dissolve and disappear
Our second pair
Fear and dread
Vulnerability, avoidance, worry
Anxiety, overwhelm, stress, uncertainty
It is all too much
Just feel within your vulnerability and fearful anxiety
This place of recognition within your psyche
That this is a natural expression of the emotional body
And does not need to be suppressed
Relax into the stressful anxiety
The worrying avoidance
And then feel that there is a natural
Opposite to this emotional blueprint
The opposite of anxiety and fear is love, self-trust
Open, relaxed, loving, kind
Feel these two qualities woven into each other
As one contrasts the other
Feel how they are equally true
One does not exist without the other
They belong together like identical twins
And in a generous, beautiful gesture
Let the fear and dread
The love and open-heartedness
Dissolve, disappear Until there is no
Memory of either of those emotions
Just an emptied space
Full of your being
Emptied of notions
Rest here
Beliefs
Beliefs are hardwired
Subtle
We will be observing two pairs of beliefs
The first one
I am the body
I am my body
Is it really true?
So first feel into the sense of I am this body
I am my body
Notice how that makes you feel
Feel how in the core of that belief
There's some part that thinks that that is really true
I am the body
I am my body
Look within the belief
And turn this belief around
I am not the body
Feel that
I am not my body
Those are just two beliefs
Two sides of the same coin
I am the body
And I am not the body
Hold these two beliefs in an equally balanced internal view
And feel how they are true and not true at the same time
Identification with the body
Non-identification with the body
Who are you without those two beliefs?
Second set of beliefs
I am enlightened
I am not enlightened
Feel into the conceptualization of the idea that I am enlightened
Feel into the concept or belief that I am not enlightened
See that they are both different sides of the same coin
As if you can drop this coin
Let it fall into the deep waters of your own being
That idea of being enlightened and the belief of not being enlightened
Both are equally true and false at the same time
Believing I am enlightened is illusory
Believing that I'm not enlightened is equally illusory
Having no concept whether I am
Enlightened or not enlightened is freedom
Release yourself from the belief I am not enlightened
Refrain from attaching yourself to the belief I am enlightened
Who are you without either of these beliefs?
In this deep, deep state of beingness
With your mind having fallen asleep
Visualize a body within your body
Feel a tall and energetic version of you
Stepping forward and out of your body
Feel that energetic version of you, that
Visualized inner body stepping forward
And as you turn to the right
You see a beautiful mountain valley
And its expanse of meadow spreading out in front of you
Walk into that meadow
In the center of that meadow there's a mountain creek
Clear water running
You come close to the creek and you kneel down
The water is fresh, cool and crystal clear
You cup your hands and dip them into the stream
Picking up some of the water and bringing it to your mouth
Drinking this clear, pure liquid
As the water enters your mouth
All internal impurities are cleared out of your system
The whole body, the whole energetic field
Rejuvenated, cleared and purified
You cup your hands again and scoop up some more water
Splash that water into your face The
Moment the water touches your face
All external impurities are cleared out of your system
The whole external energetic field purified
Clarified, opened and cleansed
Your body whole and pure inside and outside
For a moment you just enjoy this experience of total purity
Then with this refreshed new body you gently stand up
You turn around and face up into the valley
There you see an ancient, huge tree
The tree has been there before time
And will remain here after time
It will always be here for you beyond time
Gently walk towards it
As you get closer its low hanging branches open up
And create a gateway, a threshold for you to enter under its canopy
In its massive trunk there is a seat perfectly made for you
You move towards that seat and sit down
And lean your back against the tree trunk
The moment your spine touches the bark
The bark fuses with your spine
And your spine becomes part of the central nervous system of the tree
Your breathing as it deepens aligns with the breathing of the tree
As if your lungs are connected to every leaf of that tree
The strengthening current and power of
The tree is moving through your spine
Every cycle of breath an affirmation of your eternal nature of being
Feel how your whole nervous system is recalibrating, recharging
While you breathe with the tree and the tree is breathing you
Your whole body becoming full
Your whole body becoming whole
Your whole nervous system remembering
And when you're ready gently get up
And move out from underneath the tree
Slowly find your way back to your physical shape
And lie down, sit down or stand within your physical form
Let your visualized body and your physical body unite
Become one field
Feel how on a cellular level every single cell
Is resting in a blissful, peaceful clarity
Feel your breath and your sensations align with that bliss
A natural inherent joy
Your birthright
As if your DNA is encoded to be happy
Rest there
Breathe here Bring your awareness to the center of your chest
Feel the confluence of your physical heart
Your energetic heart
And your spiritual heart
All inside your chest
Your physical heart beating
Your energetic heart pulsating
Your spiritual heart on the right side
That secret cave of your heart
Chanting the simple mantra "I am"
Feel within the right side of your chest
How with each and every inhale
The heart sings "I"
With each and every exhale
Chants "am"
Feel deep into the pulsation within your spiritual heart
As it sings the singular song of being
Feel the deeper layers of your breath
The silent movement of the mind
And the dissolution of your beliefs
Into this present moment
Prior to any sense of "I am"
Recognize you are before time
Before the body
You're even before light and darkness
Return home
Stay home
Recognize that you are that which makes home home
Feel deeper and deeper into this space
Let go of the sense of "I"
Dissolve the idea of "am"
Remain as you are
