The plan for this gift we call the present is to view my life trajectory as progress, not a descent.

It's not how things will line up forever, it's just a segment.

Need to tell myself I've got it, it's my duty

I hear my roots rooting for me as I take that route

See them saying there's no reason I shouldn't choose me

Choosing instant gratification cannot be gratifying

Choosing easy dopamine to trade with time ain't satisfying

Especially when the work ain't satisfactory

Slow improvements change your life rapidly

Got to leave those habits in the past for me

Take accountability for that account and balance it

Need to get uncomfortable no matter if you're talented

My destination's a fan base, a gramophone and a plaque.

Financial freedom, expenses pile on but money will stack.

And do it all with my mind and the beats I make and attack.

And a house to keep them safe in.

Healthy lifestyle, good physique, muscle gaining and maintaining.

When demons come around and war is done to be the only one remaining.

I want my future self to look back on this and say,

Man, I'm glad I finally got my shit together.

I really have been getting in my own way and overcomplicating this one chance at life I have.

I'm not worried about why things are the way they are anymore,

or even on how things will work out.

Right now I'm focused on just taking it step by step each day

and knowing it's only a matter of time before they do.

That's the plan.
