Lyrics

Tick-tock. «Time is running out,» it seems to tell me.
The mirror is a clock with crystal time.
Within it pass the hours you always lost,
and it evasively hides those yet to come.
The mirror is a clock of fragile time,
where my face, cold as ice,
reflects itself unchanged, without interruption,
in one part hell and in another heaven.
I hear the echo of my echo in its sky,
a reflection of my sky breaking apart,
when my breath sighs for the twin.
Was it I who died, or he who awakens?
Each fragment of light is a dream
of a country dwelling within my own kingdom.
Each fragment of shadow, small,
is a tug of hair when I comb myself.
The clock spills its museum story,
where the hours die in silence.
The stranger extends his cold hand to me
from past times that feeling mourns.
The clock scratches the wall with chalk nails,
erasing the names written in white.
The river swallows the crystal tears
while I await the end of the ravine.
The clock pours its crystal into my wound,
now I am a river of undressed hours.
The stranger offers me his cold hand:
we are two loose verses in poetry.
We are two gods without faith upon an altar,
sharing with all the same torment.
He, with my voice of yesterday, makes me doubt;
and I, with his silence, reinvent myself.
