Lyrics

Home has never felt the same in years
what used to be a safe place
is now full of dread and fear
I'm always back in that room, unable to move
I'm always in those woods
with the roots digging into my back
still, I keep questioning why I was so naive
maybe if I wasn't confused none of it would have happened
maybe if I hadn't fawned I wouldn't be like this today
maybe if I could grasp and swallow my beliefs
I wouldn't be so consumed in this constant state
I'm devoured by the eyes of the abyss
enclosed in the void, ensnared in darkness
I gaze to see your god turning a blind eye
as you begin to rape the last of my faith out of me
pinned down and stretched out
convulsing and biting my tongue
choking on my blood while you take control
using me like a lifeless body while I seize
pull my joints slowly out my sockets
and contort me so I can't fight you off
adorn my skin in fresh cuts where you'd claw away
so it can burn in every fucking shower
stripped, unprotected and violently shaking
to this day you still fucking stalk me
I'm rotting in this stages of grief
I'm fading in my lingering hallucinating state
you took everything from me once you had enough
my friends, my confidence, myself. all fucking gone
you still had the audacity to say
that everything you did to me was an act of love
you went around telling people that I did
all those things you fucking did to me
while I remained isolated and destroying myself
I still remember the fear I felt
when you'd force yourself on me
and I hate how you got away with it
I've got no proof I was ever abused or raped
yet you got away with no consequences
life hands you so many gifts and wonders
while life turned away from me
only to curse me with fear and paranoia
I relive those events everyday
every single night, every single day
I'm scared to let anyone in
and your voice always sticks with me
always telling me how to enact my suicide
reminding me where all the tools are
I always see your silhouette everywhere I go
and I'm no longer shielded by sunlight
you fucking got away with it...
