Five-thirty traffic, sun caught low on the hood

Paper bag on the passenger side, everything feelin' pretty good

Folks at the crosswalk ain't rushin' like they did around noon

Even that man at the gas pump got his shoulders hangin' loose

Uh, storefront glass got the evening laid across it

Loose change in the cup holder, no real need to count it

Took the side road just because the main one felt too straight

Friday got a way of makin' nowhere feel like a place

Just tires on the road and that low end rollin' through town

Everybody got somewhere they could probably be

But nobody looks too worried from where I can see
