Lyrics

Train debates are never worth it
No one wins, no one can prove
But the lights fade past the window
And the night demands the truth
Two strangers faced each other
Sleep was beaten by the wheels
One said, "Life is just a railway"
One said, "It's the platform still"
One said, "Every track lies open
Nothing blocks the road ahead"
The other smiled, "The world is hungry
Dreams don't buy your daily bread"
One said, "We're the ones who drive it
Hands upon the engine steel"
The other whispered, "No, we're travelers
Riding someone else's wheel"
Are we driving? Are we drifting?
Do we choose or just believe?
Every station leaves a question
Every answer has to leave
Maybe freedom's in the journey
Maybe fate has drawn the line
Still the wheels keep singing softly
Through the dark into the night
One declared, "We're free forever
We decide where this train goes"
The other laughed, "Don't fool yourself now
We all leave the way we chose"
One cried, "There's no end before us
Miles and miles beneath the sky"
The other said, "It all depends on
What you paid to take this ride"
One shouted, "We can turn whenever
Any crossing, left or right"
The other answered, "Steel remembers
Tracks were laid before tonight"
Then they left somewhere at sunrise
Fields stretched out from side to side
Each one followed his own pathway
And the train rolled on outside
