Lyrics

[Verse 1]

The truck rides a little higher than it used to

Another night, another sold-out venue

They said I couldn't, so I went and done it

Put a plaque on my wall, another one above it

[PreChorus]

Got my name and my song on a ballcap

Put the 37080 on a map

Dropout that came from nothin'

Ain't it somethin'?

[Chorus]

We started from the holler and we still here

Same boots, same roots, same spot where

We still tear it up down a back road

I still hold it down for the back home

'Cause back home ain't forgot where I came from

When everything changed, I ain't changed none

And nah, you can't take that mud out the water

Or the blue out my collar

Might've made a couple dollars

But we started from the holler and we still here

[Verse 2]

Still in my same truck, but new wheels with my name on 'em

I kept on singin' songs, done messed around and became somethin'

Overcame a lot of things

Whole lotta lessons learned

I'd rather walk that short line 'cause I've seen bridges burn

[Verse 3]

I wear this cross around my neck, reminds me every night

To keep it heavy on the gas in between the lines

I can't tell you 'bout the dreams I've had behind my eyes

I didn't know He had a plan, it was bigger than mine

[PreChorus]

Yeah, I started in that dive bar

Them honky tonks in small towns

Still in this Ram truck

No A/C with my windows down

Just got bigger crowds

This stage is bigger now

It's crazy how

[Chorus]

We started from the holler and we still here

Same boots, same roots, same spot where

We still tear it up down a back road

I still hold it down for the back home

'Cause back home ain't forgot where I came from

When everything changed, I ain't changed none

And nah, you can't take that mud out the water

Or the blue out my collar

Might've made a couple dollars

But we started from the holler and we still here

[Bridge]

Around the world in eighty days, who'd have ever thought

A boy like me from Tennessee would ever see the top?

I give glory to God

I overcame my fears

I made a promise, and

[Chorus]

I started from the holler and I'm still here

Same boots, same roots, same spot where

We still tear it up down a back road

I still hold it down for the back home

'Cause back home ain't forgot where I came from

When everything changed, I ain't changed none

And nah, you can't take that mud out the water

Or the blue out my collar

Might've made a couple dollars

But we started from the holler and we still here

[Outro]

Yeah, we still here

Yeah, we still here
