Insomnia

Are you sleeping, are you warm Lullaby, is it safe? Are you safe? Can you hear that? Ha ha ha, drop I keep a little diary of the shadows in my brain They keep me restless through the night, I listen to the rain The car lights throw up shadows as they pass on through the night I just count my blessings for that flickering of light Is it helpful to label this insanity Losing grip with my humanity I've started sketching out my little nightmares as they show And all those little monsters with black holes for eyes that grow The car lights cannot save me now they seem too far away And so I'm left to lucid dream the sword to slay today Are you still sleeping? Are you cold, is it safe? Did you hear that? Did you feel that? Is it helpful to label this insanity?
