Too Fast for Me

The days roll on forever The nighttime never ends The weeks creep by Turns into months Then it starts all over again Still it seems that this world Is moving too fast for me I know I kept you waiting On the edge of your seat But a wrench fell into my plans For doing the thing that I should be Yeah it seems that this world Is moving too fast for me I ask my heart I ask my mind But neither one seem to have the time To give advice on anything I need I wasn't around when I should have been Had to go chase some silly wind Thought I felt the concrete Drying 'round my feet This world is moving too fast for me Sometimes it's like I'm standing Alone in the back of the room Waiting for that next tomorrow That always comes too soon Yeah it seems that this world Is moving too fast for me Like a tornado roaring into town Spinning low never touching ground Picking me up and then letting me down with ease So out of this town's where I need to go They cut down the trees in the shady grove What once was real now only memory This world is moving too fast for me And now that it's slowed down I finally see This world is moving too fast for me
