I thought those walls were keeping me safe

But became bound by those silly mistakes

Couldn’t find peace in the bed that I’d made

But damn was tired

Laden with bags, given to me

Unravel the seams

How’d I become my enemy

This time around Ima do it differently

I’m not the stories I’m made of

These patterns and cycles I’ve chosen to break 'em

Road has been long but I’m grateful

Love that I needed it started within me

When my heart broke, it brought me to life

Mountains will move, but it takes time

Giving myself flowers was hard for me

Letting myself down felt so easy

To have some more patience with who I’m trying to be
