Şarkı sözleri

(Call on the north wind, to come on out)
(So there be no doubt)
(It's the Prairie God)
They say to learn something new every day
Nah, I wanna learn everything every day
All of it, all over again
God's mercies anew, every morning
Jesus said faith like a child's the only way
I wonder if this is what he meant
I wanna experience God like a little kid trying to learn how to swim
Like a kid trying to learn how to read
Who sees the words on the page and knows it's more than the ink
It's the image that it creates in your brain, yeah
Is that what real art is? Well I don't know
Have I ever made anything that's any sort of valuable?
These days it feels like I write less of what I care about
And more of what sounds cool, but
Can that be art too?
The most aesthetically pleasing picture ever created
Packaged and priced and prepared for mass retail
Guaranteed to make your living room look 30% better
With a slight increase for the females
Versus
The picture that your daughter drew
Framed and hanged up in the bathroom
And everybody who
Sees it doesn't question that it looks bad
They know it means something special to you cause you're her dad
I wanna be more kid, less corporation
I'm not making a career out of this, why would I fake it
Maybe if I could ever decide on what I'm chasing
Am I running from something or searching for it
Scrolling on my phone, Dear Johns and Dead Poets
Why is everybody so effing hopeless
Is this really all there is
Yeah
Am I searching for something or running from it
Scrolling on my phone, feeling sick to my stomach
But at least my head feels better
Muddying the water keeps me from seeing the bottom then
It's right back to creating nonsense
While thinking through the meaning of everything I don't make
Like who had something more important to paint?
Bob Ross with his easel or the rebel with a cause and an AK?
Cause rest assured they both got something to say
If it's a wall covered in blood or an easel showing a winter's day
To think I have the capacity to make a statement about anything meaningful
Is a form of egotistical I really haven't reached yet
Read that again
Yeah
I'm just another victim of the multiverse
Shaking the cosmic air fryer and praying my chicken nuggets don't burn
I'm sorry for even trying to be deep
I think I just need a warm meal and to get some good sleep
Yeah that's it, that's, that's gotta be it
I mean it can't hurt can it
Come on, let's take a walk outside
It's fall, it's nice
Grab your coat
Come on, let's go
(So let me know now)
