On a hot summer's night, 'neath the Southern Cross star

I saw a young man being thrown from a bar

He violently vomited, fell to the ground

A wife got home early on her anniversary

To find her husband pants-down in the nursery

A man sits alone on an island offshore

And each night before bed, he looks up at the sky

And he asks what went wrong, then he hears our reply

There are 200 countries, so I'll never know
