Tell me why, tell me why Is it really such a crime How can you fake it till you make it if you're just tryna survive I don't know, I don't know it just really goes to show That this life you gotta mold, meticulously set each stone Stone by stone, sticks and stones, that we all know might break bones You put the pieces back together come back stronger than before Give it time little time cause one thing I can't deny Sometimes to tie it all together gotta let the strings unwind And I try And I try, and I try But try as I might, I just can't hide, this fear and spite But try as I might, I just can't hide, I just cant So on I go down this road, seeing what's left to unfold I might have burned a lot of bridges but I always paid the toll Petty quarrels conflicting morals, so many unanswered turmoils How is it life can be so sweet but quickly turn around and spoil But still I echo out my dreams like a wishing well Will all my dreams prevail Am I afraid to fail Now only time will tell Or better yet its time to tell This is the prequel to my tale I must admit I can't condone of what remains to be unveiled
