It's the words that brutus never said, but I'll say
Sic semper tyrannis evello mortem today
Down in the bunker or up on the hill someday the
Peasants will come for the king and the kill
They'll say Sic semper tyrannis evello mortem
Today is just the start; Revolutions have an art
From ancient Rome to Tripoli well the end it had a start
But did your leaders do their best?
Or did the piggies fail the test? Like all the soldiers
Politicians, the policemen, and the rest?
Righteous, were they just? Were they doing what they must?
Was it violence from necessity or was it born from lust
And when the people rise to fight
Will the leaders run and hide
From all the guillotines and pillories
Will they run for their lives?
Each time a nation it falls to it's knees
It's the people who suffer, the people who bleed
So hopefully this revolution will be one of peace
And I know life isn't fair
And the poor get the check
But if you think I'll sit and watch
With your boots on their necks
I'll say sick semper tyrannis
