I find myself staring at the rhythm of the clock

Mentally block my soul in a prison with a lock

But the ticking on my watch's just a figment of my thoughts

Cuz come to think about it we're just spinning on this rock

Right around a sun that weighs like 90 thousand tons

And compared to distant planets man my time has just begun

I’ve been thinking that it's infinite, my mind is often numb

Cuz if you're waiting for tomorrow man tomorrow never comes

There's more wisdom in big dippers than six figures

You can't substitute soul kick out the pinch hitters

Information used to travel out for six winters

Now everybody and their mothers could just hit Twitter

We've collectively challenged our humble status

As animals and savages to modern man with cameras

'Til we meet drinking from the chalice at the palace

Let this music be your guide to the stars so don't panic

Sometimes you just wanna get away, don't think that you can stay in today

Feel like it's more than just a calling a craving, let's hop on this spaceship

Shoot to the stars, it looms in your heart

At times I'm sitting looking for some inspiration

With little patience as I'm flipping pages through my notebook

It's like I take my own rook inside this simple game and

My mind is playing in a different language

An old crook is stealing my only chance for change

It's this music that gets me high, but at times I fly a damaged plane

And we can't escape the way we're prone to skip to basics

Cuz they just want our cash and change like poker chips in Vegas

Sometimes we need a hiatus to fade back in our placement

Away from the cliches we stay in day-to-day

Just move free, embellish life with light like what the moon brings

It's just a reflection of what I see and what you see

And it's consuming me now, the beautiful sound moving around the tunes

And cruising through within the loops and samples

I'm just concerned with observing this truth and handle

This music's surface with purpose and numerous answers
