Somebody out there is laughing at me

I think it's the devil

I hope he can see

That I'm on the level, I understand

I'm reaching for fire when I reach for his hand

He's a flamethrower

He gives and he takes

The older I grow the more that it aches

The canyon grows bigger

We're falling right through

The fiery pit where nothing is true but confusion

and relation

and betrayal

and emotion

He has a human face and pointed ears

and a tail and a grin and a suit of skin

and I'm the punching bag

In dreams we laugh

I'll take the hit to float again

Walk on fours and run in red and meet the beast that lies within

There's a way to go, through the stars, flowing stars, throwing stars

Somebody out there is following me

She has two eyes through which I can see

The truth of the matter, the blank underspace

A vision that's caught in a time and a place

She catches the flames and calls out to me

The psychotic purge where everything's free

Like emotion, and relation, and your vision of feeling
