I'll never see it as you do

How can I comprehend what's true

When almost everything there is

Escapes my sight?

Ourselves divide and multiply

Electric pulses, neurons fire

Invisible and troubled by

Attending eyes

Some days I measure every word that you have spoken

Like treading out the surface of an ocean

So easy to take comfort in an ocean

And I know you, I don't know

The shadow blurs your body

Unfamiliar, your lines undone

And then you lure distortion flung

You sleeping far

To touch is resonant and bright

But though I pull you to my side

It never goes, the appetite

For human warmth

Someday I know the bonds that keep us will be broken

We may outrun our bodies any moment

And the mouth of revelation will not open

I don't know you, there's no time

Mysterious desires

Are governing your life

You're not the way I hold you in my mind

But is it worth to know that I still try?
