Sometimes I hear my wife

She sobs there by our bedroom window

She says-

God hear my cry

How could You leave this woman widowed?

I just wanna hold her

But I have to act as if she's dead to me

From the moment I told her I ran

Can't stand with leprosy

As I lay there it became clear

I start to buy this

As the shame grows and I disappear

Into the darkness

I can't let her see me like this

As I stand by the door

Bandage my hands I question no more

You could clearly see I had leprosy

I guess you could say I died

Became a beggar on the streets

Most days I try to hide

I see my wife, but she don't recognize me

I start to hear things of a miracle man

Could this be real?

Rumor has it if you just ask Him

You could be cleared of all and healed

The lame dance the blind see

Take a chance and try to find "He"

Street after street I chase down the crowd

See my chance, and yell His name too loud

Everybody sees I have leprosy hoooo

I don’t know

I try to hide in fear of rejection

But in the eyes of this Man

I saw my reflection

This Man knows what it's like to be

Shunned by your children

And rejected by your bride

But if this is real and this is Him

I might get to see my family again

His glory filling my lungs

I can barely breathe

Lord if You’re willing

The crowd holds their breath, watching me

Jesus takes a step, touching me

Then clearly and gently He says
