What’s my life gonna be like

What can I see in the crystal ball?

Who can I ask to keep the promise?

Is there a promise at all?

I was taught what I need to know

To survive in a civilization

A job and a house are guaranteed

You just need to work and be patient

You’re too late, the party’s over

We can hire you for a year

It’s our world, we won’t move over

Please don’t spoil the atmosphere

All my skills always work out fine

In a world with subways and highways

But if I have to swim to my job

I’ll be late even using the byways
