Old 'n Jaded

The problems seem to build up every day

Sometimes I think they'll never go away

The solution is not one I can comprehend

To act happy now would be just pretend

If you tried to figure out just how I tick

You just might think I am a lunatic

It's how I get through my life every day

Right now there doesn't seem to be any other way

There used to be a time when

I would find all that I seek

Call me old and jaded

Well, you'd think you live to judge

But sometimes things don't turn out

In the way you thought it would

So if suicide's an answer

I don't think that's an option

I'd rather take my chances going through this thing called life

I wanna be someone I've never been

And to live my life in another's shoes

It may make me realize just what I have

Before I up and throw it all away

I say I don't care, but I really do

But all the lies I build up just to get me through

The lies are bricks in a wall that surround

I need someone to help me smash them down

There may never be a time when

I will find all that I seek
