A cavity

 In the heart of stone

 It gets cold 

 When you’re all alone

 Wind shivers through the chasm

 Winding its way to the gulf

 In the center

 The heart subsiding

 A rift in the plates 

 The hole in the center

 I can feel the ridge dividing

 Breaking up from the inside out

 I can feel my heart subsiding 

 Cycle convecting 

 Once again

 I can feel the heat rising

 Welling up to erupt

 New formations in the land of my heart
