Seems like everyone today is fighting for a cause

But not everybody knows who or what they’re fighting for

Are they fighting cause its right or for popularity

Or have they graduated with first class master degrees

Are you waiting for the time when you can stick it to the man?

Are you waiting for the time to hear the piper one man band?

Are you waiting for the time for politicians to be right?

Are you waiting for the chance to ignite?

Does salvation have a call or should we really know?

When the beats were talking about lost in tangled snow?

Shall we go out in the streets or meet another we could greet?

Make a living whilst the educated lie in bed

Dance the three-line tango; dance the mambo a la mode

Dance the ballroom whilst democracies dance with hailstones

Dance the rumba in the courtyard into the deep and dark night

Dance the jive for the chance to ignite

Find your idea perpetrated in your mutated state

Melancholic ideals that are set to palpitate

Sound the barrier, make a message, make a meal and make amends

Don’t find the kid messing with words in your den

Fight for trade and refuge and globalisation

Fight for love and respect for our global relations

Fight the voice in your head that always gave you a fright

Fight so that you have the chance to ignite

Spending money everyday like it’s grown on sacred trees

Were we right to spend that tenner for issues that we didn’t need?

Heartless, brainless, regardless; we don’t know our right from wrong

Greed has made us blind; where do we belong?

Play the drums you ne’er-do-well to give the life a beat

Play the piano whose wings are tightened to unleash

Play the guitar, play the siren, play the overture, all right?

Play the tune to have the chance to ignite

Though my friends are we lost, do we need another voice?

Is it current that we think that we need to have a choice?

Revolutionise the paper where your ideas will be writ

Revolutionise the candle where your ideas will be lit

Revolutionise the media to make the future bright

Revolutionise the chance to ignite

Many people died in yesteryear so you could have the right

To live like a human being with no one to despite

Live long happy and momentous and continental too

Live for when you return to Waterloo

See the sword bearer’s watchtower that controls the countryside

See the saints that saved you when your worlds collide

See the wonders of the universe in panoramic sight

See the wonders that you have to ignite

There’s a highway when you look up into the uncharted sky

See the comforting visions of life before you die

Though we fight and bicker and life just feels like one dreaded curse

Think that it could be worse down here on earth

Appreciate the postman who will work although it rains

Appreciate the doctors who heal patients with their pain

Appreciate yourself when you reach heavenly heights

And others appreciate when you ignite!
