Grafting All the Time!

I am a happy Welsh man and I come from way out West

Where grasses grow and rivers flow and old dogs go to rest

Not far from Llanboidy is the place I long to be

Old Cwmfelin Mynach makes country boys like me

Now we're sucking diesel and the smoke is flying high

In a truck or cab or transit van we'll wave them all goodbye

You name the craft we'll do the graft cash in hand is fine

On the job for a few old bob we're grafting all the time

I might be on the tarmac boys or laying down white lines

If from afar that you smell tar I won't be be far behind

My hands they may be dirty and my boots are seldom clean

But life is fun in the blazing sun we're living out the dream

Some will pump the slurry boys and some will cut the gras

Some will haul the trailers home and no one gets to pass

At the end of a tiresome day it's time to rest and then

Up again at the crack of dawn to do it all again
