The Ascent

Withered and broken

A veil of darkness lays over me

what I thought to be true

was just an illusion

My mind keeps twisting

insanitys got its grip on me

I have never broken the cycle

These illusion have possessed me entirely

Cold, bleak solitude

I find myself in the hole again

hands turn numb

I lie down barren and bare

The veil of darkness clouds my mind

no purpose in life

anxious and desolate

I ascent into nothingness
