Wasted hours, bleak and numb

Scattered pearls on hollow ground

Underfoot like teeth they grind

Twinkling dreams we left behind

Winter mantles naked bones of the trees

Time devours everything we believe

Sharp dressed mornings, black and white

Short lived days and endless nights

Drifting through the gulf of time

Melting iceberg of our life

Evil wizards know their trade

Bony fingers spell our names

Hopes and dreams in disarray
