Incertitude has laid a weight on my heart

Engulfed me in a shroud of shame and dark

Entwined in guilt never to be torn apart

Another day with hope zero to one

I've let myself slip away into the sloth I've become

Yet remains a pounding in my head

Propelling me to carve a path upon steps of regret

Mouth of ignominy be silenced

Swallowing everything you see

The light of purpose has dimmed in me

Dimmed in me

With self-destruction at an all-time high,

Is a wavering will enough to get me by?

A perturbed voice sought a throne in my head 

I'm not giving you in an inch I haven't given up yet

 

The air was subtle as it kissed my brittle skin,

I could feel the brilliance manifesting from within

Stand Radiant

In the deception of the night,

Sometimes we succumb to voices of our self-woven despair 

But hope illuminates a path despite our darkest fears.
