This Emptiness

I would take a nap If I didn't get 9 hours of sleep I try to relax But I must've been born without that gene I'd have another cup If I thought that would do the trick But I've been through this enough To know that won't take me out of this I wish I knew what was doing this to me I wish that there was something out of place But it seems I've got all that I need Save a reason I should feel this way It's not fitness because I exercise It's not nutrition, believe me I've tried I'm a musician, this should be my shit So what's with this emptiness? It's not savings 'cause I do well at work I'm not dating but that would make it worse I'm just craving to rest assured That I get out this emptiness This emptiness This emptiness This emptiness This emptiness If I did drugs I'd have a clear way to move back up My parents are in love Otherwise I could blame it on how I grew up I've tried every diet ever Hoping that one would take me to the top But I never feel better I only feel worse once I stop God only knows what kind of person I am To be complaining about something like this But what's a boy to do when he's feeling sad Yet everything in life is perfect?
