Looking back on all that I’ve known

I can’t help feeling that I’m alone

Betrayed by the ones I trusted most

Now it’s hard for anyone to get close

I raise my head and look up at the sky

My mind racing just wondering why

Hardened by what my friends have done

Saddened by what I’ve become

But in spite of all that I’ve been through

The uphill battle is what I choose

I’ve walked through fire to get where I am

I’m not backing down here I stand

I’m clouded with what my demons have said

But I know there will be a light ahead

I’d given up thought I was beyond help

But through it all I’ve found myself

Understanding I’m still finding my way

I know that tomorrow is another day

Sometimes at night I still hear your voice

I’d go back in time if I had the choice

To say I’m sorry and hold your hand

And wish that you could understand

I miss you so much and is so hard

I know is time to let it go

It's the right thing the only way

Gotta move on when the time is right

I swear my words were not borne of hate

I’m sorry I dragged you down into my state

Full of regret now all I can say

Is I hope you’re in a better place

Every flower withers and dies

But in its place a seed will rise

I am strong and I am bold

Who knows what my future holds
