I knew way back then in June 

That we were stuck in something not so good

Hurt much more than loving should've

We had plenty of time to pretend

Thought that by August we would stop our blaming

But I still cried when winter came

My thick skin can't take the pain

What do you do when it's already over 

How do you end it without being afraid

Should we be honest say it's not getting better

And now we're running out of bandaids
