My Band

Sitting outside with a drink in my hand

The sun it is shining and I have a band

I guess I should be on the top of the clouds

But something is holding me down on the ground

Remember the things that you wanted to do

But I never trusted your love, such a fool

Always that question repeating itself

When will she leave and fly out of my spell?

You finally came to your senses and left

And I was alone with my bad confidence

So now I sit here with a drink in my hand

Trying to feel happy for having a band

What I think the best thing for me to do

Is leave this planet and bring all my blues

I don't want to pass it to all of my loved

I don't want to burden them more than I should

A couple is sitting ten feet to my right

Laughing and talking without a doubt

I know I will never be there again

I guess I should focus it all on my band
