I heard the sound

Spinning around, I sat my body up

Awake with an energy

Poised for anything

Turned on the lights

This forgotten flame that burned so bright once

Has slowly faded away

And nothing really feels okay

I saw myself close to something tragic

Self pity aside, I'm an automatic car crash

Approaching if I can't commit

But I still feel like a kid

So I broke the skin

And I looked within to my surprise

I had everything I'd need

To mend these tendencies

I emptied out my enemies

Forgave myself, replanted the seeds

I fillеd my cup just shy of the top but enough

And I sanded down what was rough

Now whеn I'm sleeping

The rain clouds come, but they're always cleared up by the weekend

And I'm never sad

How long can you go

Until it shows, before it's permanent?

The feeling there's a ghost in the room

Boy, I wish I lived on the moon

Looking back on Earth

My troubles, my worth seem infinitesimal

To a life at apogee
