The God Of The How And When (Mary) [feat. Katie Ohh]

One thousand years later, God would choose perhaps His most unlikely of all people to set into motion the salvation of the whole of humankind; a teenage girl and the man she was engaged to marry. God sent an angel named Gabriel to a young woman who lived in the village of Nazareth. “Don’t be afraid, Mary” he said, “for you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name JESUS.

“But how can this be” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”

Gabriel answered her plainly, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.”

“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me as you have said.”

OH, LORD I’VE HEARD EACH WORD YOU’VE SPOKEN TO ME

AND I KNOW IT WILL HAPPEN, YOU ALWAYS MEANT THIS TO BE

SO I’LL CLING TO YOUR PROMISE

TIL THIS CHILD MOVES IN ME AND THEN

I’LL GIVE BIRTH TO THE SON

THE ONLY SON OF THE ONE

AND HE IS ONE WITH THE GOD OF THE HOW AND WHEN

And so the young couple traveled to Bethlehem, where indeed, Mary gave birth to the promised Son and named Him Jesus, Yeshua, which means, ‘God saves.’
