Me and My Shadow

I had a dream I woke up happy

But it doesn’t seem that way

Doesn’t matter what you do to me

Doesn’t matter what you say

But it’s ok

I’ve been drawing for the first time

In a long time I can think

Even though I try my hardest

I keep drawing the same damn things

It follows me and I know now

that its a living thing

And even though It comes and goes

Well It never really leaves

Maybe I’ll find some peace in the wilds

Or bury myself deep in work

Stay up late and accomplish nothing

See what my sanity is worth
