There’s a breeze in that October sky

When days begin losing light

That rolls out with everyone who’s leaving

Ain’t no smiles in waiting lines

For ice cream and fried delights

Just a sign that says closed for the season

Put stable in the gasoline

Fill your boat with antifreeze

And wrap the RV in vinyl lining

There’s vacancies ‘till late spring

Slowin’ down the economy

We decorate for holidays

And the picture-perfect autumn craze

But colors here only last a moment

As snow builds up on the ground
