I remember driving in my car up the east coast

Drinkin' Roadhouse coffee, smokin' up chief smokes

Jottin' down notes while the traffic came close

The trucks looked like whales and the whales looked like big boats

I drove through small country towns around

One week up north till I come back down

Me and my dog travelling this wide round

With Dylan in the car stereo for sound

And come what may, no matter what may come

I'ma do what I can to get some things done

I ain't tryna climb a ladder to get to the top rung

I'll stand in the rain and I'll run in the sun

One day I'll have a family and build a house

Way up north or maybe back down south

And I'll have a garden to grow, for food in my mouth

The more I grow up the more I outgrow doubts
