Tears

I hate to watch the tears run down your cheeks

I know it might seem cruel of me to leave you

I wish I could cry

'Cause keeping it inside

It's never done anything good for me

It's not like I have a choice

I wish I had a pair

Of someone else's eyes

Then I could let go of my issues

Instead I'm left holding them close

And with all the things that I've been through

I should be shedding tears

Almost every night

You say it’s all inside my head

A twisted form of self defence

But why would I lie

Feels like a knife's put to my chest
