it's hard to see the way out of the maze right now

stumbling round like drunks in the fog, and wondering why

no road seems to lead where the signs say

and it's ever harder to find a way

to put it all behind us, to be strong and to move on:

to find our new song

some days feel much darker than they did before

when I'm not really certain I can do this anymore

eaten by this life that we chose

the cheap hotels and fancy studios

the drugs don't seem to be of much use at all

anymore

the old hotel is empty, all the guests have gone

there will be a long night ahead before the dawn

quietly it sits there on the slope,

nothing left but memories, ghosts and hope

but the band is still there and it's playing on
