taking in the view

memories warp my mind

when I first saw that blue

almost transparent light

I was teen

new to the southern skies

and they sank so deep

I couldn't yet speak my mind

how do we spend those useless hours

counting twenty four in a day

We have pretended they were ours

wait until we'll be

above the sea of clouds
