 Way back when the world was made

 Right before God rested on the 7th day

 He powdered the mountains and white sand beach Put the fertile in the dirt

where the corn would be Said the birds got the sky and the fish got the water

But the hillbillies gonna need a place they can holler

Where the creek runs crooked

And the kudzu’s thicker than a southern drawl Way back where the full moons

At the blue ridge boys running coon dogs

 Way back when I was just knee high Grandaddy showed me where his

 granddaddy made shine

lighting blood runs
